Since my facebook is the center for “funducation” about trans women, I just want to raise awareness about something: Trans women’s voices do not generally change as a result of hormones. It is AMAZING to me how many people don’t know this/think that trans women have the same vocal experience that trans men typically do. It’s SO not the truth and it’s SUCH a big deal to SO many trans women. I’ve been GENUINELY surprised that it’s not common knowledge. (people probably don’t know about it because trans women take up so much space and talk about themselves too much. That’s probably it. )From the desk of Red Durkin
